I got more things from Ebay. Including a suede jacket with flames on the bottom, snap buttons, and a hood.
I have new black and white wing-tipped heels.
A yellow tank top with beaded strings.
Vintage posters of Palermo, Italy and the Camel Cigarette's camel, on stretched canvas.
A vintage green dress.
A black and white vintage flower brooch.
Flower hair clips of assorted colors.
Also, a vintage white jacket with puffed sleeves and small white buttons.
I believe that will be the end of my ebay-ing for a while.
I want to get my hair straightened, maybe next week, at the salon down the street. Sarah and I went to the vintage store and I bought a few more ashtrays; the lady told me that people tell her they don't sell ash trays in regular stores. I informed her it was true.
We also went into Eclectic Threads and saw some really gorgeous pieces; but, they're not a thrift vintage store. This stuff costs a little more than Good Will. So, when I have more $$$, I'm definitely hitting that store again.
Dave and I signed the lease for the apartment yesterday. We saw Matthew and Brett while walking through Dupont. We ate at Subway and went back to take a look at the apartment; it's so nice. I can't wait till next weekend. Of course, we're not going anywhere unless we successfully start packing instead of just making a bigger mess.
We also went shopping the other night. We bought a lot of fruits and vegetables and ALMOST got scammed into buying $15 worth of Bing cherries. There were 3 lbs. in the last prepackaged bunch of cherries they had; it was a shame, but we had to put them back.
We picked Rachel up from her house and went to Murky's and imed each other.
After Edward Scissorhands is over I'm going to get ready and Dave and I are going to Soho. He'll study and I'll spend more time online; maybe we'll make more friends.
I talked to Wally today. I guess after we called the police on my parents so that we could get our stuff back, that set Matthew off and he told Wally not to talk to us anymore because we were "cut off". That's just sweet how Wally listened to him. And especially sweet considering Wally asked his friends not to talk to Josy, his soon-to-be ex wife, yet Matthew talks to her all the time and is friends with her. I, of course, honored Wally's wishes because he was my friend long before she ever was, and I've only hung out with her once and that was when they were still on good terms. So, how does it work that Matthew doesn't listen to Wally, but Wally is listening to Matthew? I just love that, really. But the conversation I had was still good. I told him there's no possible way he can think its logical that he would hear one, partial side of the story from Matthew and not hear the whole story from my parents nor from Dave and I. He told me he'd talk to my parents this week. Then talk to us. It's starting to look like Matthew will be the odd one out, the only one who's mad, the only one who's acting like a jerk for absolutely no reason. Thank God. I'm dead to him, and he is dead to me. Brother? What? I'm an only child!
It just proves our point when we called the police, because my parents lied to them about having our gifts and his camera anyway.
SIGH. I hate how FX is totally tearing Edward Scissorhands up (pun...intended?). They're cutting the scenes really badly and throwing the wonderful soundtrack off. Its still the best CD I own. I can't wait until the Corpse Bride comes out. I still have to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I haven't heard any reviews on it from anyone, good or bad.
